This site has got quite big. It’s probably easiest to navigate via the Sitemap.
I’m mostly on Twitter, where I tweet about D&G place-names @dgplacenames. There’s nearly 6000 tweets there now. It’s worth typing a local name + @dgplacenames into the search bar to see if I’ve mentioned it. Those tweets sometimes become blog posts.
Things I’m working on here include: writing up a survey of New Abbey place-names; transcribing bits and pieces of Trotter’s Kirkcudbrightshire volume of Galloway Gossip; and collecting field-names.
I also post Galloway Scots words @GallowaScots and translate Old Norse and Old English into Scots @auldnorse and at auldnorse.wordpress.com.
